About ACNGO
The African Council of Non-Governmental Organizations
Our History & Purpose
The African Council of Non-Governmental Organizations (ACNGO) was established with a clear mandate: to unify, strengthen, and amplify the voices and impacts of NGOs operating across the African continent.
We recognize that while individual organizations do incredible work, systemic challenges require coordinated responses. By bringing together diverse NGOs under one umbrella, we foster collaboration, prevent duplication of efforts, and create a powerful collective voice for advocacy and sustainable development.
Today, ACNGO proudly partners with over 50 organizations across 15 regional branches, touching the lives of thousands and driving meaningful change in areas spanning healthcare, education, environmental conservation, and human rights.
What We Do
- Coordination: Aligning NGO efforts for maximum impact.
- Capacity Building: Training and resource sharing for partner organizations.
- Advocacy: Representing the NGO sector at governmental and international levels.
